Ebenezer Scrooge begins the Christmas holiday with his usual miserly contempt, barking at his faithful clerk and his cheery nephew. But when the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come take him on an eye-opening journey revealing truths Old Scrooge is reluctant to face, he must open his heart to undo years of ill will before it’s too late. Mary’s Review – I truly loved this old time favorite. I really never thought of it as one of my favorites. Actually I rather think of it as so-so and a bit boring. Well not this version. It was fantastic in my eyes and the animation was the best I have ever seen. The movie, based on the novel, was very dark and a little scary at times. That to me is what made it so great! We went and watched it in 3-d. Wow was that expensive! I try to go to matinees as much as possible especially because they charge more for 3-d.With the 4 of us in the evening it ran 54.00! Can you believe that? We used to be able to go to a concert at Winterland for 10.00 a piece! Well if that doesn’t age me! Anyway I recommend going to the regular screening or if you want to see it in 3-d (which I recommend) please go to a matinee. Don’t pay such outrages prices. I will very happily give this movie 3 nachos and a jalapeno
