Saturday in Pictures

Saturday was a fairly busy day. The morning started with the Friends of Oakley. Picking up food donated by The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano and delivered to O’Hara Park where a number of volunteers broke down the pallets and set out to divide it among the boxes for the 300 families being served.

Back at home later that afternoon I was cleaning up outside when I discovered an unusual visitor to our fence. Oakley residents are allowed to keep up three chickens in their yard. I’m not aware of anyone in our neighborhood having chickens, so I’m not sure where this one came from.

Later in the evening my in-laws came over for our annual Christmas dinner. My daughter Danielle modeled her “ugly” Christmas sweater that she had created earlier in the day. Notice the trees strategically located on her shoulders, the glitter ribbon, bells and bows. All fashioned by Danielle herself.

Richard, our Rat Terrier, was also in the fashion mode displaying his Santa outfit.
