PG&E – Neroly Road Update

The PG&E project to replace an old, large gas pipe that runs through Oakley and Brentwood is nearing completion. The new pipe is in place, but it is now time for PG&E to come back to restore Neroly Road and disturbed portions of Main Street . The startup of the pavement restoration project was delayed by PG&E for unknown reasons, – that being said, we’re glad that there is a finally a start date. In a recent presentation to the Oakley City Council PG&E stated they are targeting May 1st as a start date in the repaving process. Their goal is to have the road in as good of condition or better than the nearly three year old road the pipe was installed in. The restoration scope includes matching the rubberized topside in the areas where applicable, repairs to curb and gutter, and a topside slurry seal of entire Neroly road and new thermal plastic striping. Letters will be mailed out to the community the week of April 22 with an update of the project. Thank you for your patience.
