Water, sewer, storm utility lines will be installed under curb and gutter, sidewalk, landscaping and lighting improvements, as well as the paving and widening of the road. Additionally, the Laurel Ball Fields Park parking lot will also be spruced up. It is anticipated that

During the construction of the project all travel ways will remain open on Laurel Road. Oakley City staff has prepared and distributed informational flyers to the area residents and will be available during the construction of this project to answer any questions and accommodate any special needs by residents. In addition to the informational flyers, electronic message signs have been placed in the project vicinity as an added measure to inform the public about this project. Emergency vehicles will at all times have full access and will never be restricted to respond in times of need.
The City and its construction team are taking all appropriate steps to create the least amount of inconvenience to the surrounding areas while performing this important street improvement project without compromising work site safety or quality of work.
