Contra Costa Water District to Sell Prime Oakley Commercial Land

On Wednesday, September 17th, the Contra Costa Water District (CCWD) Board approved the sale of excess land that the District owns on the corner of Laurel and Empire in Oakley. The Board also approved the hiring of Devlin Retail Properties to market the property to interested developers. The land is approximately 3.5 acres, and is located in a prime location for retail development with an average daily traffic count of over 25,000 cars per day. Oakley’s Economic Development staff has had preliminary discussions with Ray Devlin to discuss the potential development of the property. Staff will continue to work with Mr. Devlin to discuss site layout issues and possible retail uses as a buyer is found.
