Oakley Code Enforcement Update

Code Enforcement is excited to welcome a new addition to their staff. Replacing a recent part‐time departure, Zachary Coan is an Oakley resident himself and comes to us with a wealth of customerall lanes service experience and a great desire to make Oakley a better place to live and work. Please welcome him when you see him around your neighborhood. Since the beginning of the new fiscal year starting in July, Code Enforcement investigated and opened 152 new cases and closed 218 existing cases. The vast majority of these cases were related to property maintenance standards. Also during this period, the City was forced to take legal action and abate violations at one residential property and one commercial property for failure to remove nuisances causing risks to the public’s health and safety. Please be proactive and report any code violations to: code‐enforcement@ci.oakley.ca.us or call them at: 625‐7031. If you’re unsure about whether or not it’s a violation, please report it and they’ll investigate and determine if action is required. They strive to return all calls and emails within one business day. Remember, all communications are anonymous. Help us keep our City safe and clean.
