A strong ridge of high pressure will build back into our region starting this weekend. This will lead to much warmer temperatures with the hottest readings expected on Sunday and Monday. In some cases these will be record breaking temperatures and the hottest so
far this year.

The national weather service in San Francisco has issued a heat advisory, which is in effect from 11 am Sunday to 8 pm PDT Sunday. A heat advisory has also been issued from 11 am Monday to 8 pm PDT Monday.
* Temperature…highs will mostly be in the 80s to mid-90s near the coast with 90s to lower 100s for inland areas.
* Impacts…potential for hazardous conditions due to the heat for persons who are outdoors.
A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. The hot temperatures will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible, drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Never leave kids or pets in vehicles as temperatures can quickly reach very dangerous levels.
