Tell the State Water Board to Reduce Delta Water Exports and Increase Delta Flows!

Scientific reports published over the past several years have sent a clear message: The San Francisco Bay-Delta, the largest estuary on the West Coast, is on the brink of collapse. Millions depend on this estuary for their livelihoods.

Right now, over 1,600 people are asking the State Water Board to bring an end to excessive water exports from the Bay-Delta estuary. Our goal is 5,000. Have you signed and shared our petition?

This is our second petition for the Bay-Delta Water Quality Control Plan petition series.

Last year, we presented a petition to the State Water Board that asked the Board to update the outdated Bay-Delta Water Quality Control Plan. This collective call to update the petition was influential in getting the Board going on this plan — they are on it now and they want to hear from us!

The Bay-Delta Water Quality Control Plan has the potential to stop the decades-long over pumping of the Delta. This year we have the opportunity to make sure the State gets it right.

We will present all your signatures to the State Water Board on the last day for public comment. Please sign by March 13, 2017 and share our petition widely.
