UPDATE: SR-84 Real McCoy Ferry remains out of service; scheduled to return by early June 2020

The State Route 84 (SR-84) Real McCoy Ferry will continue to be out of service as crews continue to make repairs on the ferry after an unexpected mechanical failure occurred in April 2020. The ferry is anticipated to return to service as early as June 2020.

Caltrans regrets any inconveniencefor motorists and residents who use the ferry to access Ryer Island. COVID-19 has made it challenging for Caltrans to access parts needed to complete repairs.

The Delta’s companion ferry, the SR-220 J-Mack Ferry remains in service for crossings on demand 24 hours per day.

For the latest information, call the Caltrans Ferry Update Line at (510) 622-0120. Motorists can also find additional information on Caltrans’ Delta Ferries webpage.
